United Rentals network fuels Rocky Mountain Power plant construction
 |
Challenge: The isolation of the Montana jobsite required equipment to be deployed from 300 miles away and contractor supplies stockpiled on site.
United Rentals Solution: United Rentals coordinated the long-distance logistics by drawing on resources in three states for equipment, contractor supplies and maintenance services. An onsite tool crib with computer capabilities gave workers a way to manage the flow of tools and supplies from United Rentals' distribution center.
United Rentals Equipment Used: Over 65 machines in total, including generators, welders and more than 30 aerial lifts, as well as two 45-ft. trailers and eight conex boxes for storage.
