Mary Ann Riojas has inspired others throughout her life. Born with no legs and only one usable arm, Mary Ann was removed from an abusive home as a child. She went on to marry and have four children, only to be faced with new challenges when her husband abandoned the family. Mary Ann enrolled in college, qualified for her driver's license and made a down payment on a modest house that turned out to be unsafe. Fiercely independent, Mary Ann will now be able to care for her children in an accessible, custom built home from "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and United Rentals.
