Joseph Dixon brought more than 20 years of industry experience to United Rentals in 2008 as vice president-sales with responsibility for strategic leadership of the company's sales and business development efforts. Prior to joining United Rentals, Mr. Dixon served as global vice president and general manager for JLG Industries, Inc., a worldwide aerial equipment manufacturer. Previously, he held senior positions as vice president, pro business and tool rental for The Home Depot, Inc., with sales and management responsibility for 1,450 North American locations; and as division vice president of operations and field sales for Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation, with executive responsibility for the company's equipment rental business.
