The Front Line of The Business

Just a couple of years out of college, Chhunse Taing is well on his way to a powerhouse career in sales. As a Sales Coordinator, he works in a busy general branch booking, renting, and selling equipment and supplies. But his real job, he knows, is working with people: meeting, teaching, and learning from them. After majoring in communications in college, Chhunse took his first full-time job with us and discovered he loved it. "This is the front line of the business," he says, "and working with the customers is the best thing about it." Most of his customers are contractors, but he's also now helping to run a smaller local branch where there's more of a concentration of homeowners and do-it-yourself types.

"I'm learning all the time." More experienced co-workers, and the customers themselves, are great sources of information. "No doubt about it, the old timers over 25 can teach us kids a thing or two," he muses, recalling with a grin his first day on the job, when he was sent off to New York City to pick up some material. "I think they were testing me, but I got there and back in great time," he says. Now his co-workers know he's no stranger to the road, since he spends his weekends on his motorcycle.
